To make a perfect book card it is not enough to know what to write, but you need to know the structure to follow, the model to be repeated every time to avoid delivering a messy job. How do you make a book card?

To answer this question we first try to understand what it is for. The reading card of a book does not have the sole purpose of torturing the students allowing the profs to understand who has read or not the book in question, but it is the presentation of a text, whose data allow the reader to have information regarding the work, author, genre and plot of the book.

## BOOK CARD STRUCTURE: EXAMPLE

Remember then that in a book card some important data must be entered in order, including title, author, genre, plot, characters.

Obviously everything must be written in a clear and correct Italian, and above all the information must be reported in the right way!

### BOOK CARD: HOW TO DO IT

Here we are, you have a complete outline with all the instructions to follow to write a perfect book! However, you have to be careful about some very specific rules to follow. First of all the style: remember to write in an objective and impersonal way.

Yes, you must comment on the story of the book, but you must express a completely objective judgment, evaluating events, characters, situations and themes in a positive or negative way. Pay attention then to write the information in the right way (check it out) and above all try to write clearly and correctly.

#### BOOK CARD: THE DIAGRAM TO MAKE THE REVIEW

As you have surely noticed, in our diagram for the book card, we have inserted the item “plot and comment”.

This means that at a certain point of your card you will have to insert a brief summary of the events told in the novel and, then, what is even more difficult, find the way to tell your point of view on what you have read by making a small review.
